“Sometimes the smallest things take up the biggest room in your heart.” – Winnie the Pooh
Dear Max
We haven’t met yet but I’m your Aunty. You are due to come along around my birthday (which I worked out is only 6 weeks away). You’re starting to become really real and because of this, I’ve been thinking about you lately.
Something you’ll get used to is getting lots of unsolicited advice from people throughout your life. Take it all with a smile and a grain of salt and do what feels like the best thing in your heart. On the topic of advice, I have a few things I’d like you to know:
- Focus on happiness and health – it doesn’t really matter how much money you have once you can afford to pay for the necessities in life. You’ll just want more. Your happiness and health should be number one. And you know what? In the spirit of ignoring your elders, if you love money then I wish that for you too
- Dream big – don’t ever feel too young, small, greedy or any other self crippling label stop you from believing in dreams. Dreams are your spiritual compass in life – they’ll take you on adventures, teach you things (both about yourself and others) and keep you sharp
- Live with intent – understand and consciously choose what your intention is and whether it’s matching your actions. Be authentic and true to yourself
- Invest in yourself – if you are living with the right intention then back yourself! Believe in yourself and invest in yourself – your health, spirituality, personal growth and education. Always be open to learning from experiences and others – not just textbooks or the internet

And there it is, Max. The first job of an older family member had been fulfilled – to annoy you with advice.
And lastly Max, remember I’m always here if you need me. I’m not sure what life will be like when you arrive, whether we’ll be the best of friends or distant strangers. Just know I’m always here.
Your Aunt
Such beautiful advice, I’m sure Max will have a ball with a crazy hilarious aunty like you ❤️
